Kahi Loa is one variation of Lomilomi, a touch therapy that was taught by Serge Kahili King based on the form he learned from the Kahili family of Kauai. In Kahi Loa, giver works on your skin not on muscle, using fingers and hands with more focus on mind than body to get in touch with elements of earth such as fire, water, wind crystal, plants, animal and human being. If it is done alone, no oil is used so it can be done without removing cloths. It can also be done under the sheet when combined with other massage and bodywork such as Lomilomi Temple Style. Light pressure is used in this healing system that involves the mind, body and energies of both giver and receiver that allows the free and abundant flow of life force, called “mana” in receipient.
Clinical Sports Massage / Myofacial Therapy
Clinical Sports Massages are for specific muscles and/or muscle groups. I use Myofacial Therapy, AIS (Assisted Isolated Streching) and PNF (Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Faciliatation). We will discuss fitness goals, issues/problems that you are experiencing and what will be worked on. This is done clothed on a table. Please wear or bring very loose fitting shorts. For female, sports bra or the top of a modest two piece bathing suit may be appropriate. Myofacial therapy is not intended for relaxation massage but very specific and deep. This techniques are intended mostly for post or between sports competitions and I use similar protocol when I attend sports events.

Lomi Lomi Temple Style
Hawaiian bodywork/massage, also known as Lomi Lomi, comes in different styles. Lomi Lomi is an energy shifting touch therapy. It is Hawaiian bodywork that uses and connects energy from spirits of elders, ancestors and kahunas; and shift receiver’s energy by raising their vibration and vibration of anything around them. A kind of Lomi Lomi that we offer is Temple Style Lomi Lomi. Temple-Style Lomi Lomi is an ancient healing art, a rite-of-passage to activate and harmonize the energy of Heaven and Earth in your body. “Lomi” means energy shift or thumb. Lomi Lomi Means “rub rub” or “energy shift energy shift.” Despite the importance of techniques in massage, much of work is done by love and intention of giver. The giver focus his/her full, deep and complete attention to a receiver with unconditional love (aloha) and compassion. Feeling love an compassion, the receiver opens up from inside and relaxes. Thus, energies flow freely. Negative energies, wishes and wants that no longer serves him/her will be released. Positive energies can reshift in him/her and his/her life. It restores the balance and healing can occur at the deepest level, physically, emotinally, mentally and spiritually. From the definition, energy shifts dramatically with Lomi Lomi. Thus, it can mean “to remove what doesn’t belong.” For this, Lomi Lomi Temple-Style is an energy shifting touch therapy bodywork that can change your mind, body, emotions and life. It incorporates hula movements and breath, called Ha-Breath, and the recipient experiences profound healing effect. Simultaneously, it energizes the giver. The givers of Lomi Lomi use primarily their forearms and elbows gracefully with long deep strokes in hula movements. All of this produces weaving movements and depth that awakens the body to connect with Spirits. In addition to the mechanical/physical aspects of Lomi Lomi, intention, honor, presence, sacred space, attentiveness, love and respect are also important. Moreover, Lomi Lomi activates the body’s cells vibrating at a fast pace so that the energy can flow freely.
